Winter Fest

Lorain Winterfest happens the week-end after Thanksgiving. The festivities begin with a parade down Broadway to welcome Santa Claus to Lorain, Ohio. The first evening invites everyone to enjoy entertainment at Veterans Park with the official lighting of the Christmas lights and a fire works extravaganza. Other exciting things happening downtown for children of all ages are: Ice Sculptures on Broadway, Window Decorating of the downtown businesses, feeding the Reindeer at the Park, free Horse Carriage rides and Pop-up shops for Christmas present shopping. The children are treated to Storyland with a Balloon Man and the reading of Christmas Stories. The Lorain Library has crafts for the children to make and take with them. The Winterfest continues each week-end during the month of December with the Pop-up Shops and Santa Claus at Storyland (Northwest Bank Downtown Lorain) with treats and joy for each child.
